The 3-Day Ceremony overview
This
overview document has been contributed by, Jim Stephens Former Co-director,
Blessed Family Dept., with added contributions by Dorit Smith.
Please read also the Cheon Seong Gyeong (CSG) p. 1,280-1,282 for all the
words by Rev. Sun Myung Moon on this topic that he covered in his CSG book.
“Due to the Fall God’s Blood lineage was lost to the dominion of Satan.
Mankind must be restored unto God the Father and Christ the Son of God. The
Messiah is the Bridegroom and must meet His Bride. A Blessed Couple is in the
position of the Bride that has been wed to Christ. Specifically the wife stands
in the position of fallen woman or Eve and the husband in the position of
fallen Archangel. Christ stands in the position of perfect Man and perfect
Adam.
Through the 3-day ceremony, the wife is reborn in Christ as the restored
Bride of Christ and is bestowed to the husband as a princess in the Kingdom of
God. The husband is reborn in Christ as the Son of God and the prince in the
Kingdom of Heaven. After the Completion of these Holy consecrations the husband
and wife will stand as prince and princess of God’s Kingdom to glorify and
honor him forever.” Rev. Hyung Jin Moon, April 21, 2015
The
3-Day Ceremony, was created by Heavenly Father, and True Parents, as the
external grace ceremony for substantial restoration from the satanic lineage of
Adam and Eve back to the heavenly lineage of God. The 3-Day Ceremony comes from
the blood, sweat, and tears of the returning Christ. No condition of faith or
merit by descendants of fallen Adam and Eve could earn this grace.
Physical Redemption
This
process brings about the change of blood lineage and adoption of our physical
lives back to God’s sinless lineage. It is known in the Bible as physical
redemption.
“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain
together until now ...” Romans 8:22
(KJV)
“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of
the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption,
to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is
seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we
hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” Romans 8:23-25
(KJV)
The
husband and wife are conditionally restored as a true son and daughter of God,
through adoption by Christ at his second coming, who is given the authority by
God to perform this adoption ceremony on the earth.
The
adoption ceremony, must be performed by God’s chosen champion with a physical
body, in order to fulfill the condition explained in Matthew 18:18.
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound
in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matt. 18:18 (KJV)
After
properly performing this this ceremony, a couple is forgiven of their Original
Sin, and the children they conceive and bear do not have Original Sin. From
God’s point of view, they have been born pure and sinless like the original
Adam and Eve.
40 Day Celibacy after the Blessing and before 3-Day Ceremony
“The 40-day separation period indemnified the four thousand years of
history. The actual married life begins today, the end of the three‐day ceremony. Since the day of the
Blessing until now there has been a period of indemnity.” CSG p. 1,282 (11-161,
1961.6.24)
In order to properly prepare our hearts, for the grace of forgiveness
for of sins of our lineage and to prepare to receive God’s adoption into His
originally intended blood lineage, all couples preparing for the 3-Day Ceremony
need to abstain from sexual relations for 40 days.
Like
the 40-day flood judgment that God sent in Noah’s time (Gen. 7:17), this is a
time of purification and a new start.
