The Kingdom Sower
Introduction
The Kingdom
Sower contains a collection of 15 sermons given by Pastor HJ Sean Moon in 2016.
Following his father's teaching, contained in the Divine Principle, HJ Sean
Moon explains how the original purpose for which Jesus came to earth it was not
to die on the cross to redeem our sins; Jesus had come to physically, establish
God's Kingdom on earth; he had come to preach the "Gospel of the
Kingdom".
These
speeches are essentially, addressed to Christians of every denomination to whom
HJ Sean Moon appeals with great fervor, so that they can read the Gospel
directly without being conditioned by what the various confessions have
traditionally taught over the centuries, but listen to the words of Jesus
himself in the Scriptures.
Christianity - says Hyung Jin Moon - is not a religion; it is a
relationship with Christ.
Commenting
one verse after another, one parable after another, Hyung Jin Nim explains the
reality of the kingdom that Jesus intended to establish on earth in his time
and compares it to the kingdom that will be established on earth at the return
of Christ.
Who is HJ Sean Moon?
HJ
Sean Moon was born in the state of New York in the USA. He holds a bachelor's
degree in humanities and a master's in theology from Harvard University. He
founded the "World Peace and Unification Sanctuary", more commonly
known as "Sanctuary Church". Moreover, he conducts his pastoral
ministry through Sunday services and "King's Reports", where he
comments on current news from a religious point of view every day. He is a
brown belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu, teaches martial arts and self-defense, and
holds training courses for the peace militia.
HJ Sean
Moon is the son and successor of Reverend Sun Myung Moon of South Korea,
founder of the Unification movement, also called the Second King of Cheon Il
Guk (The Kingdom of God). In 2015, he officially published the United States Constitution of Cheon Il Guk. He currently lives in Pennsylvania with his wife
and five children.
The
explanation of the structure of this future kingdom of God or celestial nation
that will be established on earth, and which in Korean is called Cheon Il Guk,
is directly related to the United States Constitution of Cheon Il Guk which, as
has been said, was published by Hyung Jin Moon in 2015.
Continuous
references to this text are evident throughout these sermons, so for a more
accurate understanding of them, it is highly recommended that you read this
work.
Furthermore,
HJ Sean Moon preaching is connected to his personal history. Despite being
the heir and successor designated directly by his father Reverend Sun Myung
Moon, when he was still alive, HJ Sean Moon Nim was virtually supplanted by his
mother, Hak Ja Han.
She, with the support of the main Korean leaders, illegitimately rose to
power on her husband's death and began to make several changes to the texts,
teachings and traditions established by Sun Myung Moon, which he had strongly
recommended not to change.
Unable to comply with this desecration, in 2013 Hyung Jin Nim retired to
Pennsylvania where, after a period of profound prayer, research and devotion,
he began his pastoral ministry starting with the famous sermon "Breaking
the Silence".
It
is therefore understandable that in this collection of sermons there are
frequent references to the wrong behavior of his mother and the negative
influence this has on the "microcosm", that is, on God's providential
work and the situation of the movement that she is now leading.
2016
is also the year in which the campaign to elect the new president of the United
States in place of Barack Obama begins in America. It is the year of
confrontation between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, a year of great
political and social clashes.
In light of this, HJ Sean Moon Moon's speeches also become the fertile
ground for an analysis of American history and society and, in a broader sense,
of the situation of the world scenario or "macrocosm". The serious
political, social and moral problems, which lately are coming more and more
into the open, are foretold and clearly analyzed in these sermons:
The dangers of centralized power, the intention to establish a world
government, the control exercised by the elites and the big bankers, the themes
of abortion, homosexuality, pedophilia, transgender ideology, political
Satanism, relativism, feminism, the process of Islamization, gun control, the
threat to suppress fundamental human rights.
In
conclusion, we can say that this collection of sermons, in addition to defining
clearly and with sincere passion the true meaning of the "Gospel" of
Jesus as the "Gospel of the Kingdom", constitutes an extraordinary
prophetic message for our time and a stimulus to truly seek, where and how God
is working in our day.
